This policy explains how Joy Integrative Psychiatry LLC (“we”) handles information collected through this website, joyintegrativepsychiatry.com. It does not replace our Notice of Privacy Practices, which explains how we use and protect your health information as a patient under HIPAA. Patients receive that notice during intake, and you may request a copy at any time.
We don't collect health information on this website
This website has no forms that ask for health information and no patient database. Appointment requests, intake forms, messages and all clinical information are handled in our secure, HIPAA-compliant patient portal and electronic health record (TherapyNotes), which has its own privacy and security protections.
Information collected automatically
Like most websites, we use privacy-focused analytics to understand how the site is used, such as which pages are visited and how visitors found us. We use:
- Cloudflare Web Analytics, which does not use cookies and does not track individuals across websites.
- Google Analytics 4 (if enabled), configured with Google signals and ad personalization turned off. We do not send names, contact details, health conditions, appointment information or any information you type into Google Analytics or any advertising platform.
- Your browser's local storage, to remember the general marketing source that first brought you to the site (for example, “Psychology Today” or “Google”). This contains no personal or health information and stays on your device.
Our website is hosted by Cloudflare, which processes standard technical data (such as IP addresses) to deliver and secure the site.
Email and phone
If you email or call us, we'll use your information only to respond. Regular email isn't fully secure, so please don't include health information in email. Use the patient portal or call us instead.
Links to other sites
Our site links to other websites, including our patient portal and crisis resources. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies.
Children
This website is intended for adults, including parents and guardians. Care for minors is arranged by a parent or legal guardian.
Your choices
You can block or clear cookies and local storage in your browser settings and use browser privacy tools. The site will continue to work.
